Write for us
Coastal Policy Journal welcomes pitches that make a specific coastal policy question clearer for general readers. We are interested in thoughtful explanations, comparisons, histories and accounts of how a public process works.
What makes a strong pitch
Set out the central question, why it matters beyond one announcement, the main point you would help readers understand and the material you would draw on. A useful pitch has a clear scope, explains specialist terms and treats competing interests fairly. Evergreen subjects are especially welcome.
What to send
Send a concise proposal rather than a finished article unless we have requested one. Include a working title, a short outline and any relevant links or source references. Disclose relevant affiliations or interests, and do not send confidential material or claims that cannot be checked.
How to contact us
Proposals are sent through the Contact page. Choose the editorial question option and explain that your message is a pitch. A submission is not a promise of publication; we will assess its fit, clarity and suitability for our readers.
